Regarding the respiratory illness caused by a novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear WVCC Tokyo 2020 participants:

On January 31, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global health emergency concerning the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. The Japanese Government and other related governmental agencies are closely monitoring this coronavirus outbreak.
Japan Veterinary Cancer Society (JVCS), the organizer of World Veterinary Cancer Congress (WVCC) Tokyo 2020, is working closely with these organizations and have created a task force to collect the most up-to-date information and implement safety measures accordingly.
Concurrently, we will continue arrangements for WVCC Tokyo 2020 while monitoring the situation and provide further information through the official website and social channels.
We encourage all participators, volunteers and other related parties to monitor their own health and stay vigilant by adopting stringent hygiene practices.

As of Feb 14, 2020, we will have the 4th World Veterinary Cancer Congress in Tokyo Japan on schedule.
The WVCC Tokyo 2020 registration fee will not be refunded (abiding to the Cancellation policy).
However, the registration fee will be refunded to people in the the following situations:

  1. 1) For those who are denied entry into Japan by the law.
    If you are denied entry by the law, please submit a copy of your passport.
  2. 2) For those who arranged airline tickets or accommodation through a travel agency or travelling by a group tour.
    If your government have prohibited traveling abroad, please submit a copy of your passport together with an announcement or a letter in English from your travel agency to show that traveling to Japan is prohibited.
  3. 3) For those whose employers have prohibited traveling to Japan.
    Please submit a letter stating that a travel to Japan is prohibited in the name of the employer.

Depending on further situations, the conditions may change.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
